Corn with Lemon Butter

This is a easy and delicious way to dress up a classic side dish. Printer-friendly version.

1 tablespoon butter
8 ounces frozen corn, thawed and drained
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
ground thyme (garnish)
snipped fresh chives

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add corn and cook for several minutes, until heated through.

Stir in thyme, sugar, and lemon juice, and cook another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Season corn to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon into a serving bowl, and top with a sprinkling of thyme and chives.

Large saucepan
